Blue and White Dragon and Tiger Tenugui approximately 39” x 13.25”

Handcrafted Tenugui made using traditional hand-cut kata (paper stencils) and the chusen dyeing technique. Each piece is hand-dyed by chusen artisan Takashi Sekizawa in Nara, Japan. Crafted from Chita cotton—a premium Japanese fabric used for tenugui since the 1600s—each cloth is one of a kind, with subtle variations in size, color, and naturally unfinished edges that reflect its authentic craftsmanship. Over time, the colors will gently fade, enhancing its vintage charm.

A tenugui is a traditional Japanese cloth that can be used as hand cloth, dish towel, gift wrap, headband etc…
